The position supports the NEA’s strategic objective to focus the energy and resources of its 3+ million members toward the promotion of public education by providing ongoing support and logical administration of databases for specific applications that support the Center for Enterprise Strategy and the organization.

Position Summary: The primary responsibilities of this position involve administering and analyzing membership and reporting databases. The incumbent serves as a member of the strategic team focused on determining best strategies to advance NEA goals and especially the Center for Enterprise Strategy’s goals of membership growth and engagement. The incumbent will be working with a team of field staff and communications staff to increase our digital communications and test digital tools for growth and engagement. The incumbent also extracts and analyzes membership data from databases and assure validity and quality of data. Incumbent is responsible for developing partnerships and collaborating to bring the data needs of the field into headquarters based programs. The incumbent provides technical support to field staff, state and local affiliate staff to train how to administer the Voter Activation Network (VAN) and works with third party vendors to develop and/or integrate their applications. The incumbent also prepares reports, researches documents, and develops talking points, trends analyses, forecasts, and presentations based on analytical research. To carry out responsibilities, the employee uses a personal computer, a variety of NEA-endorsed software and travels occasionally.
