The position supports the NEA’s strategic objective to focus the energy and resources of its over 3 million members toward the promotion of public education by analyzing and working with the Data & Analytics Department (DA) in developing complex logical database designs, logical data models and relational data definitions in support of the NEA enterprise data infrastructure.
Position Summary: The essential responsibilities of the position include data mining (including data auditing, aggregation, validation and reconciliation), modeling techniques, testing, BI solutions, and Dashboards. The incumbent develops metadata for report authoring and providing data level and privacy security for report delivery. In addition, the incumbent analyzes defects and develops solutions and recommendations, if appropriate. The position analyzes problems, designs, develops, tests, applies and documents data corrections to databases. The incumbent also analyzes and coordinates the resolution of technical issues, user problems and special projects with users, DA staff and consultants, where applicable; analyzes, develops and supports reporting and the data extraction infrastructure, including the development and maintenance of metadata for reporting purposes; and develops and maintains system documentation, test cases and scripts and migration documentation.
