Position Summary
Overview
Vote Forward is a nonprofit organization that builds tools to encourage average citizens to register and show up to vote. We work to increase the participation of traditionally under-represented groups in the electorate, and to increase civic engagement among the public at large by supporting the volunteers working to engage these voters.
The Data and Research Analyst supports Vote Forward’s ambitious experimental and research agenda through data analysis and communication. This role reports to the Data and Research Director and is an at-will position that we anticipate will end after the 2022 election cycle, with the possibility of extension into the 2024 election cycle if you and the organization decide to extend the employment.

Requirements
Successful Data and Research Analyst candidates will have:
- 2+ years professional or post-undergraduate experience as a quantitative data analyst, data scientist, researcher, or similar role, including:
- Significant involvement in designing/analyzing data projects;
- Experience communicating results to, and working productively with, both technical and non-technical collaborators
- Experience using standard statistical methods and software (R, Python, or other modern programming languages preferred but not required)
- Ability to work independently, and proactively learn new information or techniques as needed
- Comfort working effectively with remote teams, and ability to be productive while working remotely
- Flexibility and willingness to roll up your sleeves and get things done on a small and fast-paced team
- A commitment to Vote Forward’s mission; while prior experience in political science, voting rights, campaigns, or other similar fields is not required, successful candidates should be interested, curious, and willing to learn more about our field
Working At Vote Forward
The Data and Research Analyst position is a full-time, remote position. The salary range for this position is $70,000 – $80,000 annually. We provide cost of living compensation increases at the beginning of each year.
In addition to health, dental, vision, and retirement benefits, Vote Forward’s benefits package includes a professional development fund, a remote work fund, and a technology stipend for all employees. We have an unlimited time-off policy, a flexible medical and parental leave policy, and our office is closed for approximately 25 business days each year.
