ABOUT THIS ROLE

This is a great opportunity for a quantitatively-oriented field organizer, campaign manager or voter file manager who is ready to take the next step in their career as a strategist.

Salary: The salary for this role is $58,500 annually (prorated) plus benefits.

Note: This is a temporary position that begins March 15, 2022 and goes through November 5, 2022. While our in-office policy is currently flexible, we expect this role to have some requirements to be in our NYC office. Proof of full vaccination is required in our offices. While we prefer to hire someone who is available to work in our NYC office, we will consider qualified applicants who are only available remotely.

Job hours expectations reflect our clients’ needs—long hours and on call seven days a week.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES

As the Data and Targeting Associate on our team, you will…

  • Assist with creating efficient voter contact universes across platforms (mail, digital, field)
  • Export voter contact files from CRM platforms like DNC Votebuilder (VAN), TargetSmart VAN and Catalist
  • Interface with clients, third party vendors and consultants
  • Lead ad hoc data analysis projects for advocacy groups and other clients

Essential skills:

  • One+ years’ experience in politics, ideally in both field and data
  • Excellent quantitative analytical skills that have been put to effective use at electoral targeting
  • Comfort with analyzing election results, polling and voter file data (using platforms like Excel, VAN, Catalist and PDI)
  • Extremely strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail and an ability to multitask
  • Comfort using Excel and Google Sheets to run standard functions, create tables, etc.

Preferred skills:

  • Demonstrated success developing political strategies
  • Experience with mapping and data visualization software like QGIS and Tableau is a strong plus
  • Experience with Google BigQuery or other type of SQL database
