Data Scientist (Contract)

Position Summary

Like many campaign-oriented organizations, state legislative caucuses and partners often do not have the resources to conduct substantial post-mortem analyses of their activities and results during the cycle that would help inform their resource allocations and lessons learned for 2022. This role is to produce these analyses in conjunction with these partners, working with them directly to receive data, structure it, analyze it, and report back on findings.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct analyses of precinct-level electoral results, voter files, voter contact records, and media spend data to create summary results and derive insights and recommendations for the 2021-22 cycle.
  • Work directly with key stakeholders to seek additional context on datasets and communicate findings.
  • Migrate unstructured data into structured formats either as an individual contributor or facilitating external/internal partners in doing so
  • Propose future experiments to further explore questions from the analysis
