DCHS Data Asset and Technical Manager (Project/Program Manager IV)

King County – DCHS | On-site | Permanent

Position Summary

The Department of Community and Human Services (DCHS) provides equitable opportunities for people to be healthy, happy and connected to community. It manages and oversees contracted community agencies providing programs and services for behavioral health prevention and treatment, housing and community development, supports for children and their families, youth and adult education and employment, veterans, older adults, women’s program services and developmental disabilities.

DCHS is committed to leveraging data to inform program and investment decisions. We are investing heavily in data systems to collect more robust client-level outcome data as well as in data infrastructure to support workflows that combine data across historically siloed service systems. This opens opportunities for more impactful analytics as well as introducing more complex requirements for data management and governance. We are seeking a highly skilled and collaborative manager to support a growing unit and lead a holistic approach to data development, management, and governance across DCHS. This includes working with data system experts, analysts, and other stakeholders to strategically manage the department’s data assets and provide technical guidance to team members to encourage the use of best practices. The position will work within the Performance Measurement and Evaluation (PME) Unit, a group of professionals skilled in designing and implementing program evaluation and performance measurements; conducting research; constructing, refining and analyzing measurement data sets; and reporting findings to stakeholders. This position requires significant collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
