  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts and findings to broad audiences in an accessible, concise and accurate manner.
  • Detail-oriented and self-starting with a bias for action.
  • Curious, collaborative, humble and able to maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work in SQL and gain a deep understanding of large datasets.
  • Demonstrated capacity with one or more of the following tools: scripting languages (Python, R, Javascript, etc.), job scheduling tools (Civis Platform, Airflow, dbt, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of data engineering fundamentals
  • Experience working with political data like state voter files, voter protection, election results or voter/volunteer/donor engagement is a plus but not required.

What You’ll Do

  • Build data products to support the full spectrum of campaign operations, including digital, field, communications, finance and more.
  • Develop pipelines to ingest and standardize data from a variety of sources.
  • Develop data standards to ensure we always have the most accurate insights.
  • Transform one-off analysis projects into sustained, repeatable workflows.
  • Build robust data infrastructure to support the rest of the data team’s work.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert on data storage, integrations, and database administration.
  • Additional tasks as directed by senior staff.

Salary

This position starts at $6,500/month and is within a salary band that takes into account the required skills and experience.
