Position Summary
The Director of Impact Measurement & Innovation (DIMI) reports to the Executive Director and serves as a close collaborator with program and agency leadership to strengthen the configuration and use of data to improve services across the agency. The DIMI will be competent in collecting and analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data to create and maintain data infrastructure, policies and procedures for the purpose of continuous program improvement, communicating Riis’s achievements to all stakeholders and for policy advocacy. The DIMI will work with staff at every level and must demonstrate both comfort and skill with all forms of communication.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Performance Measurement & Monitoring
Provide strategic leadership in how the organization approaches performance measurement and monitoring (PMM), including both agency wide strategy as well as program-specific implementation for workforce development programs
Collaborate with key stakeholders on design and development of new reports and dashboards in web-based data systems, including Salesforce and Foothold/AWARDS
Conduct analyses and generate data to support agency initiatives, program planning, and external contract/funder reporting needs
Provide coaching, support, and leadership on a variety of measurement and monitoring topics to build organizational capacity in performance measurement & monitoring, evaluation, and database usage
Act as liaison to transform key insights from the department’s program evaluation activities into meaningful program performance indicators
Database Management
Collaborate with program leadership, IT department, and other stakeholders to design and implement database management solutions
Partner with contracted developers to oversee configuration of Salesforce database for workforce development programs and offer post-deployment support
Act as primary liaison and point-of-contact for user management, ensuring that staff have access to the information they need to conduct their work and to make decisions
Training
Create and enforce policies for effective data management, and conduct periodic trainings for relevant staff on best practices for data quality, case management documentation, and building custom reports
Support departmental trainings for program staff/supervisors in implementing performance measurement/ management systems and conducting internal quality assurance processes, which ensure high quality data capture within those systems

Qualifications
STATEMENT OF SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Education and Experience:
Master’s degree in a related field preferred, or Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three years’ experience in human services, program evaluation, systems administration, or related field
Strong quantitative and analytical skills, experience with data management, and relational databases
Experience developing, designing or enhancing Salesforce or similar data management systems.
Excellent communication skills to translate complex topics using non-technical terms to staff at all levels
Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized, with excellent project management and organizational skills
Experience with data visualization, information design, and workflow design
