Position Summary
Colorado Civic Engagement Roundtable (CCER) seeks a Director of Insight Strategies and Data to lead strategic direction and provide data-driven recommendations to inform collective planning, field targeting and opportunities to strengthen data integrity with a network of non-partisan non-profit organizations in Colorado. CCER is searching for a person who will establish the strategy for working with a table of Network Partners to advance the participation of targeted populations in civic engagement. This person will operate with a sophisticated racial equity analysis lens and commitment to lifting up the voices of overlooked communities. They will also advance CCER’s mission and vision for an equitable civic engagement ecosystem. The ideal candidate thrives in a supportive work environment and works well within a team-based culture.

Job Responsibilities:
The Director of Insight Strategies and Data, reports to the Executive Director and is responsible for the following:
Data & Tools Oversee Voter Action Network (VAN) administration for Network Partners, their consultants, and vendors. This includes managing user and security settings, training users, and providing technical assistance. Assist Network Partners with using the VAN and other technologies to support, enhance, and execute field and organizing programs. This includes assisting in employing best practices for program execution. Seek out and be knowledgeable about new tools and applications to enhance programs and data collection strategies
Strategy Consult with Network Partners to develop year-round civic engagement using evidence-based strategies, plans and programs Make recommendations and provide strategic insight to Network Partners in order to make data operations more efficient and effective Consult with Network Partners to develop data guidelines, structures, and integrate them throughout programs to ensure good practices and data integrity Create reports to highlight yearly landscape trends; description, analysis, and projections to inform further civic engagement Function as part of a national and local data peer network to help maintain shared data infrastructures
Network Partner Engagement Build a movement of civic engagement with a non-partisan 501(c)(3) network of partners Develop, maintain, and manage relationships with Network Partners Provide strategic direction to CCER Network Partners harnessing their power Develop curriculums, coordinate, and conduct educational and training opportunities for Network Partners Work with the Director of Partnerships and Engagement to provide field campaign tools and strategies for Network Partners
Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Serve as a model and mentor to others on integrating equity and inclusion into our work Develop deep and collaborative partnerships with Black Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC) led organizations by conducting community engagement, outreach, and education Cultivate and integrate equity and inclusive values among Network Partners to help them incorporate the practices into their work
Essential Qualifications:
Personal attributes and professional qualifications: Technical Skills: Advanced experience with VAN. Advanced knowledge of technical platforms that could include Excel, Census datasets, software for mapping (ArcGIS, QGIS,), reporting (Periscope, Tableau, etc.), and data management (Access, SQL, etc.)

Data Management: Knowledge of data management, database administration, reporting and analysis Training Skills: Ability to develop educational curriculums and train people with diverse opinions, interests, and skill levels Racial Equity Lens: A commitment to an equity-based and inclusive work culture Communication Prowess: Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences as well as nonpartisan civic engagement best practices to partners and other stakeholders Self-Directed: Aptitude for being self-directed to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks and work effectively. Also, be accountable to, and be part of, a team working toward common goals.
