Position Summary

Movement Labs (formerly Resistance Labs) is a not-for-profit movement incubator and the leading peer-to-peer text political consultancy supporting progressives and grassroots activists nationwide. Our clients span both establishment and movement efforts, from senior Democratic Congressional leadership to Black Lives Matter. We sent over 150 million texts and were an important tool used in many of the critical wins of the 2020 elections.

Movement Labs focuses on finding new ways to use technology and an army of volunteers to fill gaps and achieve tangible outcomes to build power for marginalized communities and progressive movements. We rapidly incubate ideas, train volunteers and deploy teams for our clients. Our projects focus on experimenting and sharing learnings for growth optimization and improved communications strategies.

You have spent a few years out of college at a corporate sales position and are hoping to have an impact on the world. This job is for you if you’re ready to join a high-performing team of sales professionals generating new clients every day. You’re comfortable with detail-oriented work, like to talk to people, and able to identify gaps and solve problems. This opportunity is remote and full time.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Research management: building a database of possible leads & partners
  • Manage sales collateral including writing product descriptions, proposal language and sales inventory
  • Respond to inbound inquiries, qualify and schedule calls with prospects
  • Maintain and manage customer relationship management activities using Copper CRM, including updating contacts, accounts, opportunities, leads and developing report
  • Support the Head of Sales and Business Development in selling to their accounts which primarily include major progressive organizations and government agencies
  • Coordinate closely with marketing, customer success, content and other related teams
  • Lead outbound email prospecting campaigns and account research to target, qualify and schedule calls, including cold-calling, for the sales and leadership team

Requirements

  • 1-3 years experience in sales, marketing, customer success or a related role
  • Tech-savvy and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Passionate about Movement Labs which aims to build progress by building local power
  • Resourceful, self-starter who is eager to prospect new sales opportunities, nurture leads and close business
  • Well organized, detail-oriented and able to multitask
  • BA or equivalent preferred, but not required

Benefits

This role is a full-time position with access to benefits, including healthcare, dental and vision plans, with an annual salary of $42 – 45k. Movement Labs also offers a 401k plan, a technology stipend, and paid vacation time. This position is entirely remote.
