Position Summary

Overview

We’re hiring 1-2 Part-Time Training Manager + Coaches for the 2022 cycle. Please note, this is a cycle based role for 15-20 hours a week through the end of September. Compensation is $55/hr. Our hope is based on funding + fit these could become full-time roles. The annual salary would be in the $61,000-$80,000 range.

Have experience with technical training and some knowledge of tools like – but not limited to – VAN, SQL (postgreSQL and/or BigQuery), Tableau and/or Google Data Studio or QGIS? Does the thought of helping train the next generation of progressive data managers and technologists get you excited? Then, my friend, this might be the role for you.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work with the Head of Curriculum and Training to coordinate various logistical elements of Generation Data trainings (e.g. scheduling presenters and additional coaches, uploading slides, notes, course recordings, etc. to course LMS, Zoom management, etc.)
  • Respond to student technical and other questions via Slack
  • Hold one-on-one office hour sessions (will vary based on your technical knowledge)
  • Participate in planning and debrief meetings related to curriculum and trainings
  • Participate in evaluations of Generation Data student projects and presentations Provide written and verbal feedback / assessments both to Generation Data team and students
  • Possibly serve as front of Zoom instructor for a group of 25-30 students
  • Possibly generate unique content and lessons; you’re a foundational part of planning the course and it’s contents
