Position Summary

Pivot seeks a Political Data Coordinator for the 2022 election cycle. This is a fully remote position reporting to the Director of Targeting & Analytics.

The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, experience managing deadlines in a fast-paced environment, a passion for data driven strategy and a commitment to bringing about real progressive victories across the US.

This is a full-time, temporary position through Election Day 2022 with competitive salary and benefits. The nature of our business requires long hours during the election cycle and we expect all staff to be flexible in this area. However, Pivot works to ensure all staff maintain a healthy work/life balance.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and track work within Pivot’s data and targeting department
  • Coordinate upcoming work with Pivot’s Client Services teams
  • Finalize process of producing data files ready for printers, including running quality control protocols, adding tracking and setting up informed delivery campaigns
  • Run and monitor reports of tracking of mail delivery and mail response programs
  • Run basic queries in voter file databases


Qualifications

What you bring to the team:

  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Experience with a programing language, such as C++, Python, R, SQL, SPSS or Stata
  • Proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Commitment to racial equity, social justice, and progressive causes
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Flexible and can quickly adapt to fit team needs
  • Please include the word “Scuba” somewhere in your cover letter
  • Interest in or passion for progressive politics and data science

Outstanding candidates also have:

  • Experience managing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous scheduling or project management experience preferred
