Position Summary

The Ohio Coordinated Campaign is seeking a Data Associate interested in learning more about working with political data. Strong candidates will be team players who are committed to building the grassroots turnout operation needed to win elections up and down the ballot for Democrats in November 2022.

This position reports to the Deputy Data Director and is based in Columbus, Ohio. This is a cycle based position that will end in November 2022. 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of data standards across departments 
  • Provide support with the cleaning, analysis, and presentation of data
  • Develop and present Votebuilder / VAN training materials across departments in statewide, small group and one-on-one settings, as needed
  • Respond to data support requests and flags in a timely manner
  • Support other members of the data team to complete projects as necessary

 

Core Competencies:

We encourage you to apply if you have some combination of the following: 

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new skills and platforms used by other team members
  • Familiarity with Excel or Google Sheets
  • Previous campaign or political experience and familiarity with Votebuilder / VAN
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Interest in further developing technical and non-technical data skills

 

This position is salaried at $4,500 per month. Employees will be eligible for benefits including cell phone stipend, medical, dental, vision, and retirement.
