Position Summary

The Data Coordinator supports essential data workflows related to the financial disclosure data for the DCCC. This position is part of a growing data team that manages and administers the committee’s NGP instance and Quickbase system. The Data Coordinator will need to clean, standardize, and manipulate data before loading it into various reporting systems. This role will collaborate with fundraising, accounting, and compliance teams to ensure data quality and accessibility. The role will also be responsible for training staff users on the committee’s NGP and Quickbase systems and help provide documentation for best practices. They will assist and serve as support for both systems and help pull and create reports and analysis as needed.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collecting, standardizing, and importing financial data sets into reporting systems;
  • Reconciling & balancing daily and monthly fundraising totals for multiple departments;
  • Creating and implementing procedures for maintaining data systems, especially NGP, Azure, and Quickbase;
  • Working across departments to help build new reports and troubleshoot questions;
  • Maintaining data integrity, cleanliness, security, and compliance;
  • Adhering to federal, state, and local guidelines in regards to campaign financial disclosures;
  • Synthesizing data in a thoughtful, organized method and maintaining proper controls to ensure data is protected and backed up;
  • Working closely with the Compliance team to assist in reviewing, reconciling, and pulling FEC reports;
  • Presenting training for new users regarding best practices for using the committee’s NGP and Quickbase systems
  • Updating and providing employees with best practices to ensure accurate data
