Data Director

Position Summary

The 2026 Virginia Coordinated Campaign is seeking an experienced Data Director to serve as the strategic backbone of the data and analysis program. The Data Director will build and manage a data program that keeps the campaign aligned, informed, and operating at peak efficiency. By collecting, analyzing, and applying data, the Data Director will equip organizers, department leads, and senior leadership with the insights needed to engage voters effectively and measure meaningful progress toward victory. 

Term ending Nov. 2026
Location: Based within Northern Virginia; statewide travel as needed
Reports To: Coordinated Campaign Director

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operation of the Virginia Coordinated Campaign data and analytics program
• Maintain accurate records of voter contact through canvassing, phone banking, texting, and events. 
• Analyze results to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
• Support the Digital Department’s’s text outreach program, ensuring voters receive timely information, reminders, and calls to action.
• Oversee all data entry, list creation, and voter targeting through VoteBuilder, serving as the central hub for staff and volunteers.
• Create and deliver training for staff and volunteers on how to properly use VoteBuilder, enter data, and understand why accurate data matters.
• Work closely with the Democratic Party of Virginia to ensure campaign data is synced, accurate, and regularly updated across systems.
• Support all departments and teams in their needs, including, but not limited to the voter protection, digital, communications, and political teams

Qualifications

• At least two years of political organizing experience, and at least one year in a data specific role
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a high-performing team.
• Commitment to Democratic values and to fostering an inclusive, respectful campaign culture.
