About the Position

We are seeking a contract front-end developer. This position is temporary.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build frontends, internal and external
• Partner with Mintt product and engineering staff to make key architectural decisions about our products
• Write exactly as much clean, readable, and maintainable code as necessary

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience on a software engineering team building front ends for customers (internal or external)
• 3-5 years of experience with JavaScript and its ecosystem
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React
• Experience working in a modern cloud environment – likely AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Comfort with a fast-moving, sometimes ambiguous environment
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience

Highly qualified candidates will have one or more of these attributes:

• Experience in an early-stage startup or other fast-moving environments
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as FusionCharts or Plotly
• Familiarity with the design language of either CRMs or other civic engagement tools

This is a temporary contractor position. You must be authorized to work in the United States. Compensation will be between $75-$150 per hour, for up to 20 hours per week.

The target start date for this position is early or mid-April. The evaluation will consist of an interview and a portfolio/work product review.
