Position Summary

POSITION
Data Manager – ADLCC

 

DESCRIPTION
The Arizona Democratic Party provides the highest level of service to elect our candidates and support our campaigns, constituents, and state. The Arizona Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee is an independent arm of the Arizona Democratic Party. It is the only organization in Arizona whose sole mission is electing Democrats to the State House and State Senate. ADLCC’s goal is to win and then expand, Democratic legislative majorities by recruiting great candidates, providing modern and comprehensive training and support, and strategically investing in the most competitive districts.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assisting Deputy Organizing Director with VAN management and providing customer support for VAN subscribers/users.
  • Assisting with data integrity projects, data deep dives, and universe analysis as needed.
    Building reports on various metrics throughout the course of the campaign cycle.
  • Assisting legislative candidates and campaigns with VAN Trainings and data projects related to community outreach efforts.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Required Skills:

  • Previous democratic campaign experience
  • Mid-level experience with VoteBuilder/VAN, including list building, cutting turf, and data management.
  • Must be organized, highly motivated, a self-starter, and capable of working in a demanding work environment that frequently requires long hours during peak periods.
  • Demonstrated ability to be on time and responsible for your programmatic goals.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn about data management tools and software, including SQL, GIS preferred.
  • Extensive experience with Excel.
  • Live in, or be willing to relocate to Arizona.

 

Expectations/Outcomes:

  • Will assist with transitioning all campaigns and committees to related to the Arizona’s redistricting.
  • Data Manager will be trained in and become proficient with all relevant software and processes. Training will be provided in-house by ADP staff or contractors.
  • Data Manager will provide periodic training to ADLCC staff and relevant others to assist with overall VAN literacy.

 

Compensation: $65,000 / year

 

Work Environment:
This position typically operates in various settings where the climate may vary and noise can be moderate to heavy. Position requires the routine use of standard office equipment such as phones, computers, printers, scanners, and photocopiers.
