Product Manager

Tech For Campaigns | Remote | Permanent

Position Summary

We’re looking for a product manager who is eager to have a direct impact on hundreds of Democratic campaigns in 2021 and 2022. This is a unique opportunity to shape the American political landscape in a meaningful way, simultaneously engaging passionate grassroots volunteers and contributing directly to ballot-box outcomes. Tech For Campaigns is scaling up to support more than 200 campaigns in 2022 and help flip as many seats as possible. We’ve already built a number of in-house systems, including a data warehouse, to help us do this, but we can’t stop there. We need your help to develop new, scalable technology that will not only have a major impact on the 2021 and 2022 elections but also on thousands of campaigns for many cycles to come.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive the long-term vision of the Tech for Campaigns product suite
  • Develop and prioritize product roadmap and release plans to address both short-term needs and long-term growth
  • Identify, test, and validate promising opportunities to expand the impact of Tech For Campaigns via skilled volunteer teams and self-serve software by employing a robust product research toolkit
  • Inform product decisions with quantitative and qualitative data on user behavior and experimentation (e.g. survey data, beta releases, A/B testing)
  • Collaborate with our technical team to successfully design and launch product solutions
  • Develop go-to-market strategies for new products and drive successful adoption/growth in the 2022 election cycle

WHAT YOU’VE GOT

  • 4+ years’ experience as a PM in digital marketing, political technology, or a related field
  • Experience working in or aspiration to work at an early-stage organization (<10 people)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum software development methodology
  • Proficiency with rapid hypothesis-driven experimentation and analysis
  • Nice to have: Familiarity with digital marketing, advertising, analytics, and ETL pipelines; knowledge of SQL

WHAT YOU’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Small teams with lots of autonomy
  • Flexibility to work on different types of problems with different users, from political candidates to volunteer teams
  • A chance to help Democratic candidates across the country

THE NITTY-GRITTY

The role is full-time, remote (to US residents within Pacific to Eastern timezones), and comes with health/dental/vision benefits. Salary range is $120,000 – $130,000 commensurate with experience.

PLEASE KEEP READING…

Research shows that while men often apply to jobs when they meet only 60% of the criteria, women and other marginalized folks tend to only apply when they check every box. So, if you think you have what it takes even if you don’t necessarily meet every single point on the job description, please still get in touch. We’d love to have a chat and see if you could be a great fit.
