Position Summary

As a Campaign Data Associate, you won’t just crunch numbers; you’ll be doing the critical work needed to maintain our data systems and tools that will shape our data-driven strategies.
What Will You Do?
- Report directly to our Director of Data Strategy, acting as a crucial bridge between data and decisive action.
- Dive into diverse projects, from cleaning data for insightful program evaluations to managing and optimizing our audience engagement tools.
- Oversee the intricate processes of audience tracking and segmentation.

Responsibilities and Tasks
Tool Management
- Oversee daily operations of digital user engagement platforms like Mobile Commons, Jebbit, and WordPress.
- Strategically deploy tools to meet impact and evaluation targets.
- Liaise with vendors for administrative and operational support.
Data Handling
- Process raw data, encompassing ad metrics and subscriber activities, preparing it for comprehensive analysis.
- Develop and refine SQL queries and scripts for timely and efficient data analysis.
- Collaborate with the Campaign Team to streamline documentation, project management, and system standardization.
Audience Data Management
- Own the curation and tracking of audience lists.
- Work alongside the Research Team to segment audience lists, aligning with strategic goals.
- Expertly handle data tasks, especially managing large datasets like voter files.
Ad Campaign Support
- Aid the Campaign Team in monitoring and updating ad metrics for acquisition and persuasion campaigns.
- Produce acquisition landing pages using Mobile Commons.
Miscellaneous
- All employees of Hopewell Fund are required to complete timesheets
- Occasional travel for in-person team retreats (COVID pending)
- Work cross-departmentally to maintain best practices and alignment across data systems
- Performs other duties as needed
Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Ability

Education and Experience
- Minimum one year experience in data analysis or data management
- Keen attention to detail with an understanding of how to find and fix errors in code and data
- Strong writing and verbal communications skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, work well under pressure and deadlines, and manage multiple priorities and projects effectively
- Demonstrated ability to build sound relationships with staff at all levels and to provide input where and when appropriate
- Ability to effectively work remotely
- Creative thinker and problem solver
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency in SQL and Google Sheets/Excel
- Experience with BigQuery, Civis, other relational databases
- Managing multiple priorities while maintaining exacting accuracy
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new skills and platforms used by other team members
Valued and Non-Essential Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Ability
- Proficiency in Looker, Google Data Studio, Periscope, or other BI tools
- Familiarity with Python
- Experience running digital programs over SMS and/or email
- Experience in HTML
- Curiosity and passion for data-driven program strategy
- Experience in non-profit or political campaign settings

Compensation & Benefits
The starting salary range for this position is $62,000 – $67,000.
